WOOD ·
Wood, as a material, is constantly changing and adapting within its environment. Heat and changes in humidity can cause movement in wood. Color changes and even swelling are normal and expected aspects as it ages.
Using Your Reed Diffuser Sticks
If you happen to purchase a vase or product that comes with diffuser sticks, there is some information and certain guidelines you may need to follow.
1) You are receiving 100% natural rattan reed diffuser sticks. These are popular and widely known to work immensely well with absorbing and diffusing essential oils. They have been proven to be one of the most effective ways to circulate scents into living spaces. Each rattan stick contains around twenty “channels” that effectively “suck” the oil up into the air, almost like mini straws.
2) Simply place the rattan sticks into the diffuser bottle provided. The oil will saturate into the reeds and as it works its way up, it will release the aroma into the air.
3) This isn’t an instantaneous event. It can take up to a few days for the reeds to absorb the oil. Sometimes different oils will result in faster or slower results.
4) To make the reed absorb your fragrance quicker, turn the stick(s) up side down however frequently you’d like.
5) Depending on how absorbent your sticks are, you will need to add more oil every month or even bi-weekly.
6) I recommend using new rattan sticks every time you use a different essential oil to brighten up your home.
